Shorter domains are easier to remember and type. Aim for 15 characters or less if possible.
If yourbusiness.com is taken, try yourbusinessnyc.com or yourbusiness-chicago.com.
Beyond .com, consider .co, .shop, .studio, .services, or industry-specific ones like .plumbing.
They're hard to communicate verbally. "Is that the number 4 or the word four?"
If you can't easily say it out loud, it might be too complicated.
Before committing, make sure the matching social handles are available (or close to it).
